Will the cotton ball hinder the growth of the tree sprout? The cotton may compact when they are wet. I know that cotton is biodegradable, but should we remove the cotton before we plant the sprout in dirt, or plant the sprout with the cotton balls and all?

Is this something you'll be updating, i.e. what to do with them when they sprout?
