How to Install Essentials 1.8 for Bukkit/Spigot

Introduction: How to Install Essentials 1.8 for Bukkit/Spigot

* The reason I am making this tutorial is because there is no official build for 1.8 and I see countless people failing to install essentials on 1.8

Hello! I'm Graham. I will show you in this tutorial how to install Essentials for Spigot 1.8

Step 1: Download the Essentials 1.8 Snapshot

As said on the Essentials BukkitDev Page:

"There is no official Bukkit for Minecraft 1.8
There is no official Essentials for Minecraft 1.8"

However, there is a reputable way to download essentials for version 1.8.*, through the Spigot Developer Hub by clicking here.

After you download the desired essentials components go to the next step.

Step 2: Install Essentials 1.8

Installing Essentials 1.8 is as easy as dropping the .jar files into the /plugins folder.

Easy Peasy. This essentially (ha-ha) has been a download link.

Bukkit is still DMCA'ed? I remember people were saying it would all just blow over. At least we have Spigot and Jenkins :)

it's pretty stupid.....spigot uses the src too but just reworded the legal stuff, and sponge probably has some in there too. But there's NO way to make a server without the original API source code. Besides, Forge runs original src code (in fact, it's just a de-obfuscated decompiled minecraft jar with mcp). Nobody DMCA'd them! (pls don't if you're reading this)

Yeah, bukkit is still DMCA'd by Mojang. You can DL bukkit using buildtools, as well as spigot.
