Introduction: How to Make Jello LEGO Minifigs

Are you a LEGO fan or a vegetarian looking for a vegan jello recipe? I found this awesome recipe to make edible jello LEGO minifigs that are even vegetarian! You can put fruit in them for the kids, or booze in them for the adults. Impress all of your friends with this cool and easy DIY.

Step 1: Gather Together All Necessary Ingredients

You'll need:

a packet of Agar-Agar

fruit (we recommend strawberries)

LEGO minifig molds (you can get them at the LEGO store)

heart-shaped cookie cutters

fruit juice of your choice (for color and flavor, for clear use coconut water)

optional: tequila or vodka (if you want to make jello shots)

a saucepan and a stove

Step 2: Prepare Your Molds

Make sure all of your ingredients are at room temperature, and your molds are clean. Agar-agar doesn't work well with grease. Now is the time to prepare your fruit "hearts" if you are going to do so with the LEGO men. Cut heart shapes out of your fruit, and set aside in the heart area of each LEGO minifig mold. (Strawberries work great for the "hearts").

Step 3: Prepare the Agar-agar Jello

Add 1/2 cup fruit juice to a small saucepan. Sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon of agar agar. Allow the mixture to dissolve and sit 5 minutes. Then, turn the stove on and bring the mixture just to a boil, before quickly reducing to low heat to simmer for 1-4 minutes. (When you can see that the agar agar is fully dissolved, it’s done.)

Then for color and flavor, add your remaining 1/2 cup juice, and quickly remove the mixture from the stove. Stir well.

Step 4: Pour Into Molds and Set to Cool

Quickly pour your hot mixture into your LEGO minifig molds, careful not to spill or overfill. Set to cool in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (overnight is good).

Then remove from the molds and enjoy!
