This hack is very straight forward:

Drill four countersunk holes into the street sign (use the original seat as template)
Assemble the legs and bend them a bit outwards (makes it a bit more stable)
Mount the sign onto the legs, using the four round plastic parts as spacers.
Done!

Tools needed:
Power drill with drill bit (5mm)
Screwdriver
fork wrench
tapemeasure
