Introduction: Instructable Robot Suncatcher

This instructable is how to make an amazing instructable robot suncatcher.

Enjoy!

Step 1: Materials

1. An instructable robot picture to trace (See next step)

2.Shrinking plastic

3. Permanent markers or colored pencils

4. Scissors

5. Foil

6. An oven

7. String

8. A suction cup

9. Hole punch

10. A cookie sheet

Step 2: Find a Picture to Trace

I used this picture for tracing.

Here is the link https://cdn.instructables.com/FDN/X0B6/FPBKY3JQ/FDNX0B6FPBKY3JQ.MEDIUM.gif

Print out your picture.

Step 3: Trace and Color

Trace your robot in black and fill in the rest with color.

The traditional color of the instructable robot is yellow but you can make it any color you want.

Step 4: Cut Out Your Robot

Cut out your robot leaving some plastic above the head to punch a hole in so you can hang your robot up.

I kept forgetting so I punched a hole in the robot's head.

Be careful cutting around the robot's antennas as they are very fragile.

Step 5: Bake

Put foil on the pan you are using.

Bake according to your shrinking plastic's instructions.

My instructions said 275°Fahrenheit for 3-5 minutes.

Watch your robot as it will shrink quickly. First it will curl up then it will flatten out. (If it sticks to its self then you will have to take it out and unstick it quickly. Put back in the oven after unsticking until flat.) Take it out of the oven and let it cool.

Look at how much the robot shrunk!

(If you don't have an oven or if you want a thinner and bigger robot you can skip this step and move on to the next one.)

Step 6: Done

Hang up your robot with the string and suction cup in a sunny window.(Or dusty as you can see.)

Step 7: Variations

These robots I made different colors.
