About: Trying to get myself started in the culinary industry! Make sure you check out my blog everythingbutfish.wix.com/etbf instagram: @missy_everythingbutfish Facebook: https://m.facebook.com/everythingbutfis…

Thing You Will Need:

  • Fresh Jalapeño peppers
  • Cream cheese (softened)
  • Mexican blend cheese
  • Taco seasoning mix
  • Plain bread crumbs
  • Flour
  • Eggs
  • Milk (Any sort)
  • Sour cream (For dipping)

Tip #1 When touching hot peppers be cautious not to touch your face!

Preheat oven to 350. Halve all the peppers and remove seeds. Next mix cream cheese, mexican blend cheese and taco seasoning mix into bowl and mix together (Use a icing spatula to mix its easier). Now season flour with salt and pepper and set aside on a flat dish. Put bread crumbs on dish and also set aside. Take three eggs and mix together with a dash of milk in a medium size bowl.

Step 1: Stuff, Bread, and Serve!

Tip #2 Make sure to cook jalapeño peppers through to remove some heat from them.

Now time to fill and bread the peppers. First take out a baking sheet and spray with canola oil. Now take about a tablespoon of cream cheese mixture and fill all of the pepper halves (Amount of filling depends on your taste preference). Take each filled pepper and first dredge in flour, next dip in egg mixture and shake of excess, and finally coat the entire pepper in bread crumbs. To ensure a nice crisp double bread each pepper by re dipping it into the egg mixture and once again coating with bread crumbs. Lay each breaded pepper on baking sheet and bake in oven for 30 minutes (Every ten minutes I spray canola oil over the peppers to ensure a good crunch). Remove and Serve!
