Introduction: Jeep Wrangler Paracord Handles

About: My name is Sydney Smith. I am a student at UALR. A jeeper, bartander, and a dog mama! Big DIY fan!

I have a Jeep Wrangler and have been wanting handles made for awhile now. I decided to make some on my own. These handles are simple and made out of 3 materials and can be made in minutes. These are the perfect alternative to high dollar handles, My total cost for the materials came to twenty-two dollars.

Supplies

For this DIY you will need few supplies:

Scissors

A lighter/heat source

Velcro

Paracord (at least two cords)

Breakaway Buckles

Side note: All supplies may be found at hobby lobby

Step 1: Attach Cords to the Buckle

Run cords through the buckle and secure them as shown.

Step 2: Begin to Braid the Cords

Pull left black cord under middle cords and over the pink, then pink over middle cords and under left black cord, then pull tightly.

Step 3: Continue to Braid the Cords

Continue the pattern of braiding until your desired length, ideally 8 inches.

Step 4: Cut Cords

Cut the remainder of the cords after you have reached the desired length.

Step 5: Tie Off the Cords

Flip over the paracord handle and make the same pattern tie on the backside.

Step 6: Secure the Cords to the Other Buckle

In order to secure the cords from coming apart, use the lighter to singe the ends of the cords.

Step 7: Time for Velcro!

Measure your velcro out to approximately 8 Inches and cut it.

Step 8: Assemble the Straps

Connect the velcro to each other matching up only a few inches, then slide them through the buckle and connect at desired diameter.

Step 9: Complete Handles!

After the straps have been attached your Jeep Wrangler Paracord Handles are complete!

Step 10: Placing Them in Your Wrangler

Slide the single strap around your roll bar and fasten the velcro together at your desired width!
