Introduction: Kinder Bueno Cake

Hello everyone!
For my first Instructable I have decided to explain how to make an easy and tasty cake: a Kinder Bueno Cake!
If you like this particular Kinder product and you love nutella (like me:) ) you will surely enjoy to make this cake...I can swear that I couldn't resist tasting during the preparation lol

Let's start!

Supplies

  • Flour (type 00): 200 gr
  • Sugar: 120 gr
  • Eggs (Medium size): 2
  • Milk: 130 ml
  • Butter: 100 gr
  • Salt: 1 nip
  • Baking Powder: 8 gr
  • Vanillin: 1 sachet

Decoration

    • White Hazelnut Cream: 350 gr
    • Nutella: 2 spoons
    • Kinder Buenos: 3 or 4
    • Kinder Buenos White: 1 or 2
    • Chopped Hazelnuts

    You have to work with:

    • Cake Mold (28 cm)
    • Electric Whisk
    • A Bowl
    • Sac a Poche
    • A Toothpick

Step 1: Preparation of the Base for the Cake

First we prepare the base of the dessert.

Remove the butter from the fridge 1 hour before preparation, so that it becomes soft.
Switch on the static oven at 170 ° C.

Slightly warm the milk by heating it in the microwave for about 30 seconds.

When the butter has become soft enough, work it with the whisk so that it becomes almost a cream and add the sugar.
Then add one egg at a time letting the dough absorb it well.
As you can see, at this point I added 100 gr of dark chocolate after melting it for 30 seconds in the microwave ... but this is an additional option to make the cake more chocolatey.

Now add the sifted flour with the baking powder, vanillin, a pinch of salt and the warm milk.
Mix the compound, always with the whisk or a mixer, until you get a smooth and homogeneous mixture.

Grease and flour the mold and then pour the dough inside. Level the surface and bake your base of the Kinder Bueno cake in the static preheated oven at 170 ° C for approx. 22-23 minutes.
Do the toothpick test to make sure the inside is cooked ;)

Once ready, let it cool for 30 minutes and then gently (pay attention) invert it on a serving plate.

Step 2: Making of the White Hazelnut Cream [Additional Step]

First of all, to fill your cake you will need a white hazelnut cream. If you have not been able to find it in your local supermarket you can follow these simple steps

    You need:

    • White Chocolate: 150 gr
    • Butter: 30 gr
    • Vanillin: 1 sachet
    • Fresh Liquid Cream: 150 ml
    • Toasted Hazelnuts: 100 gr
    • Icing Sugar: 25 gr
    • A Whisk
    • A Mixer
    • A Pan

Insert the toasted hazelnuts, the icing sugar and the vanillin into a mixer.
Blend everything until you get a very fine mixture, it will take you 3-4 minutes.

      Put this mixture aside.

Meanwhile, in the pan, boil the cream with the chopped butter.
Lower the heat to the minimum and add the chopped white chocolate and stir, so that it melts completely.
Also add the blended hazelnuts and continue cooking for 5 minutes, always on low heat, stirring with a hand whisk, to prevent lumps from forming.

Pour into a jar and wait for it to cool, then put it in the refrigerator.
Once cold, you will see that it thickens, becoming the right consistency. It will take approx. 30 minutes.

    Step 3: Filling and Decoration

With a knife try to make a precise circle in the cake, in order to create an edge and eliminate excess.

Take the white hazelnut cream and add it, with the help of a spoon, in the hollow that has been created.
Soften the Nutella in the microwave for 30 sec. and add two spoons of it in a sac a poche (cut the tip a few millimeters, so as to have a fairly small hole).

Squeeze a small amount of Nutella in the center and then create a series of circles, as you can see in the photo.
With a toothpick, drag the cream from the center outwards, so as to create 4 rows. In the center of each of them, create another 4 lines, always dragging the toothpick from the center outwards.

In the middle of each segment, create another row, bringing the toothpick from the outside towards the center. You will have created the decoration of your Kinder Bueno Cake.
I assure you that it is easier to do it than to explain it!

Now you just have to decorate the cake with Kinder Buenos: I put the white pieces high, while the black ones all around, but you can be guided by your imagination.
On the edge of the cake you can put some chopped hazelnuts. For both the grain and to attach the Kinder Bueno to the base of the cake you should use a bit of Nutella as glue (I have never seen such a good type of glue xD).

Now your Kinder Bueno cake is ready!
Before serving it, I suggest you to leave it in the fridge for some time (if you can resist the temptation to taste it).

I hope you liked this recipe ... and I hope you also like the cake.
Thanks for getting this far. :)
