Introduction: Lavender Sugar Scrub

Hi! I'm Maverick12 and after a long day at work I'm looking for simple relaxation at night.

This is an easy sugar scrub that is great for my hands. Sugar exfoliates the skin, removing dead skin cells leaving hands soft and smooth. I hope you enjoy it as well.

Step 1: All the Goodies!

For this instructable you will need the following:

Sugar. I'm using granulated sugar.

Olive oil. You need some sort of oil to pull the sugar together. Olive oil leaves a film that needs washed off. I recommend using coconut oil. I just happen to be allergic, so olive oil it is.

Aromatics. I'm using lavender oil.

A pretty jar or container with a lid for storage. I'm using one of my clean Yankee Candle jars.

Step 2: Mixing Methods

First, put 1 cup of sugar into a bowl.

Then, add your oil of choice. I don't have a recommended amount. I added oil and mixed and added more until I reached a decent consistency. I wanted my sugar scrub to have some weight to it, but be more sugar than oil.

After you've reached your consistency, add aromatic. I only used about five drops because lavender can be particularly strong.

Put your sugar scrub into a pretty container and enjoy.

Step 3: How to Use

Since this sugar scrub is a bit oily, I use it in the shower.

First, use your body wash.

Then, take a small amount, about two quarters worth, and rub your hands together. Then, run your hands wherever you need some exfoliation. For me, this is typically my legs.

Wash off the excess under running water. Towel dry once done.
