Introduction: Low Carb- Slow Cooker Crack Chicken
Why make this recipe? Crack chicken is very low in carbohydrates, is made in a slow cooker (need I say more?), and is DELICIOUS!
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 3-4 hours (cooked on low) or 6-8 hours (cooked on high)
Serves: 8
Ingredients:
- 2 slices bacon, chopped
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 (8 oz) blocks cream cheese
- 1 tablespoon dried chives
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried dill
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (any type)
Step 1:
Place the chicken breasts into the slow cooker in a single layer.
Step 2:
Sprinkle the chicken with all the herbs and spices, then arrange the pieces of cream cheese evenly over the chicken (not pictured).
Step 3:
Cook the chicken for 3-4 hours on the HIGH setting, or 6-8 hours on the LOW setting.
Step 4:
After time is up, carefully shred the chicken and mix well with the cream cheese.
Step 5:
Stir in the shredded cheese and chopped bacon. Cook on LOW for 15 minutes, or until cheese is well melted.
Step 6:
Carefully spoon out servings and enjoy!
