Red brass is a copper-zinc-tin alloy known as gunmetal. This alloy is considered both brass and bronze.

Step 1: Composition

I'm going to use 85% - copper, 5% - zinc, 5% - lead and 5% - tin.

Step 2: Melting, Mixing and Casting

This step is melting copper, adding tin, zinc and lead. After that mixing and casting.

Step 3: Casting

Be sure that all metals were melted and mixed before casting.

Step 4: Is It Hard?

This copper alloy is not hard. Hardness is from 12.3 to 13.7 HRC. You can see shades of red, so colour is really unique. Therefore, this alloy may be used for art casting.
