Making a Minimalistic cardboard skull sculpture.

Step 1: Creating the Layers

To create the layers i got a skull model and opened it in a 3D printing software where i sliced it to get the layers. I then took screenshots every couple of layers. I originally had 50 layer but as i was cutting out i realised that it was too many and ended up only using the 25 shown in the images. I put the layers into and A4 sheet and printed them out.

Step 2: Stick Onto Cardboard

I cut out each square and then I stuck the layers of the skull onto a large cardboard box using a glue stick. All of the cardboard with the layers stuck on was the same in depth. I only used 25 as previously stated.

Step 3: Cut Out the Layers

I then cut out the layers using a mixture of scissors and a crafting knife.

Step 4: Stacking the Layers Together

After all the layers were cut out, i started to stack them together to make sure they went together right. This is where i noticed that I had used to many layers and ended up only using 25 instead of 50 using every other layer. I have redone the layers in the first step to the ones i used.

Step 5: Glue Layers Together

Then using all purpose glue i stuck the layers together using the reference model to get the right shape.
