Introduction: Milk Bottle Wicking Garden Pot

If you want to plant some seedlings, this pot will keep them adequately watered for many days.

Supplies

You'll need:

  • A milk bottle (2 or 3 litre)
  • A couple of handfuls of scoria
  • Scissors
  • Seeds
  • An old t-shirt or piece of cotton fabric.

Step 1: Rinse Your Milk Bottle

Step 2: Cut the Top Off, Just Beneath the Handle.

Step 3: Half Fill the Container With Scoria.

Step 4: Cut a Rectangle of Old Fabric (cotton) and Cover the Scoria With It. Tuck It in Around the Edges.

Step 5: Poke Drainage Holes in the Milk Bottle, Level With the Top of the Scoria.

Step 6: Prepare Your Seeds, Planting Each One About 1-2cm Deep. Water.

Step 7: Place Your Pot Somewhere Protected, Where It Will Receive Enough Sunlight.
