Introduction: Minecraft Cake!

This is a cake just like they have in Minecraft. You can use it at a halloween party, birthday party, or just to eat. Also, if you don't want the runniness of the frosting, you can add some cornstarch or flour to thicken it.

Step 1: Ingredients

For the cake, you will need:

- 1 cup sugar

- 1 and 1/2 plus 1/8 cup flour

- 1/2 tbsp. baking powder

- 1/2 tsp. salt

- 6 tbsp. butter

- 3/4 cup milk

- 1/2 tbsp. vanilla

- 2 large eggs

For the icing:

- 1 cup plus 1/2 cup powdered sugar, used separately

- 1 and 1/2 tbsp. plus 1/2 tbsp. cream cheese, used separately

- 1 tbsp. tsp. almond extract, plus 1/4 tsp. vanilla, used separately (you can add more if you want)

- 1 and 1/2 tbsp. heavy cream or whole milk, used separately

- 1/2 tbsp. Luxardo cherry syrup

- red food coloring (optional)

- 3/8 tsp. plus 1/8 tsp. salt, used separately

Step 2: Prepare Supplies

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, grease (but not flour) the bottom (not the sides) of an 8x8 cake pan.

Step 3: Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, mix together the sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt.

Step 4: Add Butter

Add the butter and beat with an electric mixer on a low speed, until the mixture is sandy.

Step 5: Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, combine the milk and vanilla, then add all at once. Mix on a low speed for 30 seconds, then increase the speed to medium and mix for 30 more seconds. Then, with the mixer on low, add an egg. Increase the speed to medium and mix for 30 seconds. Do the same thing with the second egg.

Step 6: Bake!

Pour the batter into your pan, and then bake for about 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean and it's golden brown around the edges. Let it cool for 5 minutes, then turn it onto a rack to cool completely.

Step 7: Frosting

While the cake is baking, make the frosting. In a medium bowl, add 1 cup of powdered sugar, 3 tbsp. of cream cheese, 1 and 1/2 tbsp. of heavy cream, 1 tbsp. almond extract, and 3/8 teaspoon of salt. Mix it all together with a spatula. It was pretty thin, so I added a little flour. Then, to make the little red dots, in a separate bowl combine 1/2 cup of powdered sugar, 1 tbsp. flour, 1 tbsp. of cream cheese, 1 tbsp. Luxardo cherry syrup, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla, and a pinch of salt.

Step 8: Enjoy!

This cake comes out very tasty. As you can see, I'm no cake artist, but it looks kinda similar to the cake in real minecraft.
