Introduction: Mini Apple Pie
It is a mini apple pie in an apple!
Step 1: Hollowing Out the Apple
Ingredients for this step:
- One large apple
For this step you need to:
- Cut off the top off your apple
- Then take a knife and trace a line about a centimeter away from the skin of the apple
- Finally take a spoon and dig into those traced lines until you have made a little apple bowl like the one above
Step 2: Making the Gram Cracker Crust
Ingredients for this step:
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 4 gram cracker sheets
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
For this step you need to:
- Crush up the gram cracker sheets in a bag using a rolling pin to roll over the bag ( crush until there are no big chunks left in the mixture)
- Melt the butter
- Combine the crushed gram crackers, butter, sugar, and cinnamon in a medium bowl with a wooden spoon
Step 3: Putting the Crust in the Apple
For this step you will need:
- Your apple bowl
- Your gram cracker crust
In this step you need to:
- Push the gram cracker crust around the inside of the apple until it sticks to all of the walls
- Keep the extra gram cracker crust because it will be used
Step 4: Making the Apple Mixture
For this step you will need:
- 1 small apple
- 1/8 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon of flour
In this step you need to:
- Cut the apple in to 1 inch squares
- In a small bowl toss the cut apples in the cinnamon, sugar, and flour
Step 5: Putting It All Together
In this step you will need:
- Your apple bowl with crust inside
- Apple mixture
- Carmel
- Whip Cream
- Extra gram cracker crust
For this step you need to:
- Put the apple mixture inside the apple bowl
- Sprinkle a tablespoon of the gram cracker crust over the apple mixture
- The drizzle the Carmel on top of apple
- And add a little dab of whip cream
