Introduction: Plant-based Slider Patties From Turkish Beans

Hi everyone!

Here I come with another scrumptious plant-based snack! You may or may not be a fan of sprouts but you're going to love this one.

This time it's mini slider patties made from turkish beans (a.k.a. moth beans)..they surprised me by turning out way tastier than I expected! So let's get started..

Supplies

3 cups steamed turkish bean sprouts (keep them slightly undercooked as we'll be shallow frying later)

½ tsp turmeric powder

salt as per taste

½ tsp ginger-chilli paste (2 Green chillies + 1 inch Ginger)

1 tsp homemade red masala (until I upload an instructable for that, you can use equal parts paprika + garam masala powder)

1 chopped red onion

½ tsp roasted cumin powder

½ tsp crushed coriander seeds

1 tablespoon gram flour

3 tablespoon rice flour

coconut oil (can replace with your favorite cooking oil)

Step 1: Mix & Mash

(Note: Please turn on video captions to read the recipe in your preferred language)

Place the first 5 ingredients (see supplies) in a blender or food processor and blend without water till you get a medium-fine consistency (as shown in the video).

Transfer the blended mixture in a bowl and toss in the remaining ingredients (except oil).

Start mashing like crazy with your hands..

Step 2: Shape & Fry

Shape the mixture into small patties.

Heat oil in pan & shallow fry the patties on low to medium flame till golden brown on both sides.

Step 3: Serve Hot

You can have these mini moth bean patties as starters or use them in a variety of dishes like veg sliders, sandwiches, burgers. . .you can always make them regular or super-size too! Next time I make these, there's a moth bean tacos instructable coming your way.

Until then, Happy cooking!
