Introduction: No Bake Peanut Chocolate Bar
So quick and simple but soooo delicious. It’ll be gone before you know it! The kids had a blast mixing the nougat and sprinkling the peanuts.
Nougat
- 1/4 cup natural organic peanut butter
- 1 cup vanilla whey protein powder (I used Kaizen)
- 1/4 cup organic honey
Caramel
- 1/2 cup pitted dates/raisins
- Boiling water (enough to cover the dates/raisins) – reserve 2 Tbsp water for use
Topping
- 1/2 to 1 cup salted peanuts
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1 tblsp coconut oil
Instructions
- Line your 8×8 glass dish with parchment paper
- Put the dates/raisins into a bowl
- Pour enough boiling water over the dates/raisins to cover. Let it soften
- Mix together nougat ingredients in a second bowl
- Press into the bottom of your prepared dish
- Blend 2 Tbsp of date/raisin water with the dates/raisins until smooth
- Spread the caramel mixture over the nougat
- Sprinkle the chopped peanuts on top
- Melt the chocolate and coconut oil on the stove in a small pot
- Drizzle the chocolate on top and spread by leaning the dish from side to side
- Chill in the freezer for at least 15 minutes
- Grab either side of the parchment paper and take everything out of the dish and put it on a cutting board
- Cut into bars and store in an airtight container in the freezer (they will stay soft)
