Introduction: Non-Soap Cleansing Clay Bar

About: I love using Mother Earth's gifts to heal and I strongly believe in healing Mother Earth any time I can! I am an activist of upcycling and recycling.

If you are soap-free, shampoo-free, or chemical-free here is a wonderful recipe for a completely soap-free chemical-free cleansing bar.

I have researched for a non-soap cleansing bar for a while, but none of the recipes I found seemed to work. I always ended up with a goop of mud that worked better as a facial mask. After many experiments I came up with this recipe.

Step 8: How Does the Clay Bar Cleanse?

How does the Clay Bar Cleanse?

Clay can curb the excessive production of oil, which makes them an excellent choice for skin that is prone to acne. Furthermore, clays soak up all the dirt accumulated during the day, cleaning the pores and giving the skin a smooth appearance. The main function of a clay is to absorb the natural sebum and leave the skin dry and smooth. By using clay on a regular basis, one can improve the circulation of the skin, remove dead skin cells, and give the skin an overall healthy glow.

Increased circulation, antiseptic effects, soft skin without a greasy feel and reduction in fluid retention are just some of the benefits of sea salt for the skin. Since sea salt does not go through the same manufacturing processes as table salt, the minerals from the sea remain, giving sea salts different colorings depending on where they are from. Sea salt is full of vital vitamins and minerals, which are required for providing proper nourishment to the skin cells. These nutrients can improve the cellular energy metabolism, keep the tissues hydrated, boost blood circulation throughout the skin surface and increase the strength of cell membranes. Sea salt has alkalizing effect that helps in balancing the acid levels in your body and eliminating potential risks of fatal diseases.
