Rubber Band Powered Office Supply Cannon (fail)

Hello Everyone, and welcome to my second INSTRUCTABLE. Today I will be building an Office Supply Cannon.

Step 1: Items

For this project you will need:
1 QT cup lid
1 plastic Disposable cup
2 rubber bands
A hot glue gun
A pair of Scissors
A sharpie
And 2 paper clips

Step 2: Cutting the Lid

First you want to place the cup on the lid like so. Then draw a line with the sharpie around the bottom of the cup onto the lid. Then cut all the lid outside of the black line away.

Step 3: Poking the Hole

After that, you want to poke a hole in the center of your cup like so.

Step 4: Glueing

Now you want to bend the paper clip so it looks like a hook like so. Then get out you hot glue gun, and glue the "hook" to the bottom of the lid like so.

Step 5: Putting on a Rubber Band

Next loop the rubber band on the paper clip like so.

Step 6: Repeat Step 4 and 5 for Top of Lid

Repeat step 4&5

Step 7: Putting Bottom Into Cup

After you have finished step 5, put the lid into the cup like so.

Step 8: I Lied About the Paper Clip Number

Ok so I lied you really need 3 paper clips. I am building this as i go just like the catapult, but for the third paper clip, you need to glue it on the outside of the cup like so.

Step 9: Finishing

To load your cannon take the top rubber band and loop it onto the outside paper clip. And to fire pull down on the bottom rubber band. To fire put whatever you want to launch on the lid, and let go of the bottom rubber band. To reload if the bottom band clip comes out just put it back through the hole.
