Introduction: One Pot Cheesy Bacon and Tomato Gnocchi Bake

Hi! This instructable is about one of my favourite homemade meals, a one pot cheesy bacon and tomato gnocchi bake. This dish is a delicious, quick and easy meal that everyone will love. It is definitely convenient If you want a lazy meal that still tastes good.

Step 1: Ingredients

400g gnocchi

700ml tomato passata

75g mushrooms

150g diced bacon

1 large onion, diced

75g mozzarella

2 crushed garlic cloves

a tablespoon of sunflower oil

a pinch of salt and a bit of pepper

40g grated cheese

30g of parsley, diced

20g basil leaves

40g grated cheese (optional)

Step 2: Getting Started

Put a tablespoon of sunflower oil into a large, shallow pot. Fry the onions over a medium heat. Once the onions are cooked,add the diced bacon and fry the bacon until it has browned slightly. Make sure to stir the ingredients regularly to avoid overcooking them.

Step 3: Cooking the Ingredients

Reduce the heat of the pot and add the mushrooms and diced parsley with the crushed garlic cloves. Add salt and pepper to your taste.

Step 4: Adding the Gnocchi and the Passata

Pour in the Tomato passata and add the gnocchi. After you add the passata add the gnocchi and boil over a medium heat for 10-12 minutes or until the gnocchi is thoroughly cooked.

Step 5: The Toppings and the Garnish

Top the bake with torn mozzarella. For extra flavour add 40g of grated cheese. Place the basil leaves on top for a garnish after the cheese has melted and serve.
