Introduction: Outdoor Flash

About: Learning is a perfectly legitimate "life purpose" but I'm an explorer. "Knowing" doesn't interest me. Exploration and discovery does. There's always more to explore in everything.

Unless you're taking artsy photos, move in and use your flash to eliminate shadows on people and items rather than trying to create a better angle. Especially handy with kids who don't have the patience or attention span to stand still while you fuss with trying to get their faces lit.

Of course, this would be when you're close enough for the flash to reach the person or item, obviously. Rather than moving all around and moving the subjects or items around, just move in closer and turn the flash on.
