PEN CASE WITH AN ELASTIC BAND FOR JOURNAL

Sometimes I just need a pen case with my book or notebook. I made the brown one with my up-cycle dress 4months ago. Recently I made another one with the cotton fabric.

Book on the image is about A5 size.

Supplies

Materials:

Outer fabric L20cm W12cm, cotton

Inner fabric L 20cm W12cm,cotton

zipper 21cm

elastic 22cm

padding/wadding(optional, if you don't have it, the pen case is just a little soft and thin)

Step 1: Sew One Side of the Zipper

arrange the fabric and the zipper, follow the pink line and sew one side of the zipper. If you don't have a sewing machine, just sew it with a needle.

Step 2: Sew the Other Side of the Zipper

Arrange the fabric refer to the image, now you can see the zipper on one side.

Then fold the fabric and sew the other side of the zipper.

After that flip the fabric. Now you can see the pen case is almost half done.

Step 3: Sew the Elastic and the Inner Fabric and Padding/wadding

Sew the both ending of the inner fabric and the wadding/padding together.

Add a elastic and sew the elastic on the both ends.

Step 4: Sew the Outer Fabric

Use hidden stitch/ invisible stitch sew the outer fabric.

Then it is done.
