Introduction: Paper Plane

This is a simple and easy paper airplane anyone can make. All you will need is one piece of 8.5 by 11 inch standard printer paper.

Step 1: Step 1

Fold the piece of paper in half long ways. This will be the reference fold for the rest of the plane, so the more accurate this fold is the better.

Step 2: Step 2

Open the paper up, and fold one of the corners down so the top edge of the paper lines up with the fold you made in the previous step. You have now created a 5th side to the paper.

Step 3: Step 3

Now take that 5th side, and fold it the same way you did in step 2. The side you created in step 5 should now be in line with the fold in the middle which you made in step 1.

Now repeat steps 2 and 3 with the other corner so that your paper is now symmetrical.

Step 4: Step 4

Your paper should now look like this. Now fold it in half the same way you did in step 1 along the same fold. Now your paper is almost a triangle.

Step 5: Step 5

Now you will notice that the long side has 2 separate parts. Take the top one, and fold it so that it lines up with the opposite side as shown. You are making one wing.

Then flip over your plane and repeat this for the other side. Keep in mind that it is important for the wings to be the same. The accuracy of the fold is less important than making them the same size wing.

Step 6: Your Done!

Open the wings half way, so that they are relatively flat. Now hold the airplane in the middle underneath, and toss it forward.

Enjoy!

Step 7: Optional Extra Step

If you wish, after step 2 you can fold the corner you just created down slightly. This will make the tip of your plane more blunt, and will be less likely to smash as it strikes the ground or a wall.
