Introduction: Park Layout

I have been thinking about all of the great parks in MN and so many come to mind but none of them are perfect, so I came up with my own design.

It will need:

  • Playground
  • Hockey Rink
  • Baseball Field
  • Football/Soccer Field
  • Basketball Court

It didn't take me long to come up with this list but not many parks have all of these. They either have too many fields and no rinks or no fields and one rink.

In this instructable I am going to be making my perfect park for MN.

Step 1: Playground

Playground is a basic essential in any park. It is where kids come to play with their friends. All you need for a good playground is a few slides, some swings, and something to climb on.

Step 2: Hockey Rink

As all of the people in Minnesota know that they live in the state of hockey. Playing hockey at an outdoor rink in the winter is know for being one of the best things to do in MN even if you are not a hockey player. Yet there are only a couple of parks in MN that have outdoor rinks.

Step 3: Baseball Field

All parks in almost every state has some kind of baseball field in them, and why wouldn't they? Baseball is known as the national pastime for America and one of the few sports that almost all kids grow up playing in their youth.

Step 4: Football/Soccer Field

Football and Soccer Fields are a big part of most parks. They are very valuable because even if they are not being used for their sport anyone can use them to play other games because they provide so much open space that the options for use are endless.

Step 5: Basketball Court

Basketball is a sport that is fun for everyone even if you don't play it. You also need very little equipment to play. Also basketball courts require the least amount of space to build.
