Introduction: Pasta Aglio E Olio
This is a pasta I learned how to make from the movie "Chef". This recipe should be able to make you 2 servings.
Step 1: Ingredients
The ingredients you'll need are:
1/2 pound of dried linguine
1/2 cup of fresh, finely chopped parsley
1/2 a lemon
6 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
1 tsp of red pepper flakes
1/2 cup of olive oil
Step 2: Prep
Finley chop your parsley, thinly slice your garlic, and fill a large pot with salted water.
Step 3: Cooking the Garlic
Throw the olive oil and your sliced garlic in the skillet, and let it sit until the garlic is golden brown. Then, add the red pepper flakes and take the pan off the heat.
Step 4: Boil and Strain the Pasta
Bring your pot of water to a boil, then add the pasta and stir until almost al dente. Strain, and save 1/3 cup of pasta water.
Step 5: Combine
Take the skillet and put it back on high heat. Throw the pasta and water in with the garlic, and stir until they are well mixed together.
Step 6: Final Touches
Squeeze the lemon over the pasta, and then add the parsley. Finally, serve yourself a plate, and enjoy!
