Hi Everyone,

If you can'´t offer the money to buy a good digital Microscope, now you can print out my CAD model pimp your cheap Microscope to a digital one with a iPhone 6/6S. If you're good with CAD it's easy to make this Adapter for any Smartphone and Microscope. At work we had an Microscope (for about 1000$) and this "cheap" one with the iPhone works better.

Step 1: Step 1: Make It Fit

First look for a Cover CAD Model for your Phone Model. You can find something on www.youmagine.com or www.youmagine.com

Than hold your Smartphone with the back camera on the eyepiece. Try to measure the length of the distance between printed cover and eyepiece. Write down the measured length.

Step 2: Step 2: Modify the Adapter

Download the parts from my Thingiverse account:

http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2148967

If you're using an iPhone 6 / 6S can use my files otherwise you have to use another cover. The adapter is designed to fit on an 33mm eyepiece. If you Microscope other measurements you can adjust my Sketchup file.

Step 3: Step 3: Print Out the Files...

If you don't got any access to an 3D Printer go to a Hackspace or Goggle for a print service like Shapeways.

Printer Settings:

-infill to 23%

-no rift

-no support

-Temp: 210C° (PLA)

-Layer: 0.2mm

Step 4: Step 4: Glue It Together

Glue the adapter and the cover together. After drying i additionally molted it together with an solder ion because i want to prevent the Smartphone falling down.

Step 5: Step 5: Have Fun!!
