- 1/2 tsp Borax
- Few drops of food coloring
- 1 1/2 cup Water*
- Couple of bowls*
- Measuring cups*
- Couple squirts of Hand Sanitizer*
* Not shown
Step 2: Mix Glue, Water, and Food Coloring
- Take a mixing bowl
- Add 1 1/4 cup of Clear Elmer's Glue
- Add 1/2 cup water
- Mix them together
- Add a few drops of food coloring*
* I choose yellow for a lemonade-y look
Step 3: Mix Borax and Water
- Take ANOTHER bowl
- Add 1 cup of water
- Add 1/2 tsp of Borax
- Mix together
Step 4: Mix Both Bowls Together
- Slowly pour the contents of the Borax bowl into the glue bowl
- Mix until desired consistency is reached*
* I started by stirring with a spoon and then got in there with my hands. It's totally up to you how you want to do it.
Step 5: Knead in Hand Sanitizer
- Add a couple of squirts of hand sanitizer
- Knead sanitizer in by hand
- Repeat 1x
Step 6: Add Gel to Mason Jar
- Add cleaning gel to the Mason jar
- Excess gel can be played with or stored separately
Step 7: Start Sanitizing
- Insert door knob into Mason jar
- Knob will displace gel, providing a deep clean*
- DON'T FORGET TO PUT THE LID BACK ON WHEN YOU'RE DONE.
* If too much is displaced, just remove some gel from the jar.
Step 8: Occasional Top-off
- Add a pump of sanitizer from time to time
- If it gets really nasty, just make more gel
Step 9: Enjoy!
