Introduction: Plant Hangers: Made With Upcycled Glass Containers

For sure you probably have some glass containers or jars. Rather than throwing them away, I though they would look pretty with some plants on them.
Ideal for some party decoration with low budget, or some summerish twist at home. Let the imagination flow and let me.know if you have improvised with this project! :)

Supplies

▪Glass containers/ jars
▪Cotton/wood/acrylic yarn (minimum 13 meters, but some extra meters are preferable)
▪Pebbles

Optional:
▪8-12 beads
▪Hook for hanging from the ceiling
▪ Plant cuttings to put inside the jar

Step 1:

Step 2: Make a Knot for Hanging

On the folded side, make a knot. It can be a simple knot or something a bit more complex, if you know braiding technics.

Step 3:

Step 4: Add the Beads

If you want, you can add some beads. You can be creative and alternate colours of strings, beads, more knots.. totally up to you!

Step 5:

Step 6: Repeat Another Round of Knots

Do the same as in the step before, but this time, taking one string from the previous knotted strings and making a knot to the knotted strings to the side. (See picture better. Difficult to explain)

Step 7:

Step 8: Make the Final Knot

Once you are done with the knots rounds, you will need yo do a knot at the bottom.
This final knot will be holding the glass container.
You can leave some hanging strings to make it prettier, and cut the leftovers if they hang too much

Step 9:

Step 10: Put the Pebbles Inside the Glass

Put the pebbles inside the glass, and if you are using natural plants, some water too.

Step 11: Put the Hook on the Ceiling and the Plants Inside the Glass

Put the hook in the ceiling, hang the plant holder, and it will be ready for you to put the plants on it.
