Introduction: Potato and Leek Soup (bacon and Croutons Optional)

About: 36 year old Swedish guy. I live in Norway and work as a soundtechnician.

1 litre (34oz) of delicious leek and potato soup for 3$.

Step 1: Ingredients

You will need:

1 leek

2 onoins

6 potatoes

2 cubes of bouillon

2 dl (6,7oz) cooking cream (normal cream works fine)

salt

pepper

(bacon)

(white bread)

Step 2: In the Pot!

Chop up leek, onion and potatoes and fry them soft in a pot with some oil.

Step 3: Bullion

boil 2 cubes of chicken bullion in 1 l (34oz) of water.

Step 4: Boil

Pour the bullion into the pot of vetetables and boil with lid for 20 min.

Step 5: Soupify!

Use one of these tools to mash it into soup.

Step 6: Cooking Cream

Add 2 dl (6,7oz) of cooking cream (normal cream works fine) and season with salt and pepper.

Step 7: Bacon and Croutons

Optional. Fry some bacon to sprinkle on top of the soup! (pour the bacon fat in the soup) Dice up some whitebread and put it in the oven, 150C (300F) for 20 min.

Step 8: Bon Appetite

Now you have a litre of soup. Freeze it in portions (plastic bags) for later. I litre of soup without the bacon or bread will cost you around 30kr or 3$.
