Introduction: Power Antenna Hack

About: I am a student of BSCS but I'm interested in electronics that's why I would like to think about innovative ideas and try to build my ideas into reality and i also interested in making a robots. email id: degen…

Hello! friends

Welcome to my 2k16 DIY "Power Antenna Hack" project. In this project i'm gonna show you how to make your own power antenna at home with the help of this you can easily boost your internet devices signals like wingle etc. It's really easy to build.

So, let's get started.

Step 1: Material

You'll need

Cotton Buds (empty box)

Antenna with connector

Aluminium foil

Vernier Caliper, scale or any other measuring tool

Hot glue

UHU

Step 2: Size Measuring

Take a vernier caliper and measure a anteena's size from the bottom as you can see that in a pic.

Step 3: Making Hole

I just make a rough hole according to the size of antenna but you can do it better.

Step 4: Aluminium Foil Fitting in a Box

Now cut the aluminium foil according to the inner size of the box and then paste that foil into the box with the help of UHU like i do.

Step 5: Antenna Fixing

Now take an antenna and pass it through a hole and make sure just left the 3 inches from bottom where it bend from because sometime you'll need to change the direction of it. Put some hot glue at the end of the box (according to the pictrues). It's look like this.

Step 6: Installing a Connector

Now connect a connector with anteena.

Step 7: Finish

Now your power antenna is ready to use.

I hope you guys like it.

By adding a reflector in a wrong axis you're screwing up antenna SWR without any gain. It's not a signal booster. I'd say it's antenna shield.

I had the same thought. The base antenna emits and receives signals broadside to the length, like a donut with the antenna through the hole. But the reflector better fits an antenna with the opposite pattern.

I mean, axis of reflector is ok, but it has to be a parabolic reflector not a "wrap" around antenna...
