Introduction: Pumpkin Porch Light Covers
I bought pumpkin light covers a few years ago but they fell apart and I couldn't find them anywhere to buy new. So I made new covers with pumpkin treat pails. I made four covers for $4 and these are much sturdier than the covers I bought before.
Step 1: Supplies and Equipment
You only need 1 cheap plastic pumpkin for each light and tin snips or shears to cut the plastic.
Step 2: Cut the Back of the Pumpkin.
On the back of the pumpkin, cut down the center from top to bottom, with the tin snips.
Step 3: Cut the Bottom Off of the Pumpkin.
My lights are pretty big, I needed to cut the bottoms off of the pumpkin to get them to fit on the lights.
Step 4: Finished Pumpkin.
Here is what the pumpkin looks like after the bottom is cut off.
Step 5: Put the Pumpkin Over the Light.
Pull the pumpkin down over the top of the light, the handle will keep it from falling off.
Step 6: Completed Pumpkin Light.
Here is what the light looks like when it's finished. The top of the light looks like a witches hat.
