Introduction: Push Block
Make a push block for safe operation of power tools like table saws and routers.
Step 1: Stencil
Stencil the handle of a saw onto a piece of wood stock.
Step 2: Shape
Cut the the handle to size with a jig saw. Use a router to round the edges and sand to finish.
Step 3: Base
Cut a piece of stock for the base.
Step 4: Router
Route the center of the base to accommodate the handle.
Step 5: Fasten
Screw the handle to the base.
Step 6: Grip
Glue the underside of a mouse pad to the base and trim the edges.

An improvement would be to match the grain direction of the saw handle. As shown the pusher handle may break at the narrow areas beside the finger slot. The handle on the saw won't.
