Introduction: Quick & Easy Honey Chilli Potatoes

90% of the world population loves potatoes, and I'm one of them. Anything in potatoes tastes great and the love for potatoes has urged me to post this recipe called Honey Chilli Potatoes.

It's an Indo-Chinese dish packed with diverse flavour and quite popular around the globe.
During this lockdown, I needed to tickle my taste buds, as my nearby Indo-Chinese restaurant was closed.

I hope all the foodies out there try this straightforward and yummilicious instructable as evening snakes.

Preparation Time:   5 ~ 10 Minutes Only

Step 1: Ingredients

Ingredients:

  1. Frozen French Fries ( 2 Cups )
  2. Spring Onion ( 1 Inch - green part only )
  3. Garlic ( 3 Cloves - finely chopped )
  4. Sesame Seeds ( 3 Tbsp )
  5. Chilli Flakes ( 1 Tbsp )
  6. Corn flour ( 1 Tbsp )
  7. Water ( 1/4 Cup )
  8. Olive Oil ( 3 Tbsp. )

Sauces:

  1. Tomato Ketchup ( 2 Tbsp )
  2. Red Chilli Sauce ( 1Tbsp )
  3. Soya Sauce ( 1Tsp )
  4. White Vinegar ( 1Tbsp )
  5. Honey ( 2Tbsp )

Step 2: Deep Fry

The first step is super easy, deep fry the frozen french fries (If frozen french fries aren't available you can slice the 2-3 potatoes) for 8 minutes and spread out on the paper towel to reduce oil.

I chose frozen french fries because of the crispness these offer and over that it's quick to just directly fry them.

Step 3: Fry Garlic

The second step is to preheat 3 tbsp of olive oil and shallow fry chopped garlic until it gets brown.

Step 4: Fry Sesame Seeds

The third step is to add 3 tbsp of sesame seeds along with the garlic and fry it about 30 seconds

Step 5: Add Sauces

Now it's time to add sauces

  • 2 tbsp of Tomato Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp of Chilli Sauce
  • 1 tbsp of Soya Sauce
  • 2 tbsp of Honey
  • 1 tbsp of Vinegar

Mix all the ingredients very well for 30 seconds.

Step 6: Add Cornflour Mixture

After adding all the sauces,

Prepare a mixture of cornflour with 1/4 cup water and 1 tbsp of cornflour in a cup.

Once the cornflour is mixed well in our cup, pour the mixture in the pan and stir it until you reach a thick consistency.

Step 7: Add Fries

Now the final step is to add the french fries into the mixture and stir well.

Step 8: Ready!

Last thing you want to do is to garnish your dish with some sesame seeds and our chopped spring onion ( green portion only ) which add up to the taste of our prepared dish.

Here your yummiest Honey Chilli Potatoes are ready to serve and eat.
