Introduction: Quick and Easy Protein

A quick and easy way to make a delicious scrambled egg.
You will need to be in a kitchen or area with a microwave and preferably a sink.

Step 1: Ingredients & Utensils


1can Pam/non-stick spray
1 Coffee mug
1 Egg
1 Fork 
100 watt Microwave 

Optional: Hot pad, plate, extra fork, salt & pepper.

Step 2: Container Prep

For a 1 second count, lightly apply non-stick spray to the inside of coffee mug, to prevent the egg from sticking.

Step 3: Cracking the Egg

Crack egg on the edge of the mug while holding the opposite side of mug with your hand to prevent it from moving. To do this hold egg slightly above edge and with little force tap the egg side on the mug.

Step 4: Egg Contents

Pour egg contents into the mug allowing all yolk to drain into mug. Do this by placing a thumb on either side of crack and slowly separate the shell in two. Discard egg shell.

Step 5: Whisking the Egg

Make sure there are no shell particles then whisk the egg yolk with a fork, for roughly 20 seconds or until liquid is the same color, usually a pale yellow.

Step 6: Cooking the Egg

Place bowl into the microwave, set microwave on high for 1 minute 20 seconds while watching the egg carefully. If the egg rises in the mug before times up Press Stop as this means the egg is cooked.

Step 7: The Cool Down

Let the egg/mug cool down in the microwave for 35 seconds .

Step 8: Removing the Egg

Remove the bowl or mug from the microwave with a hot pad. * Caution container and egg will be hot.

Step 9: Delicious

Now you can add salt and pepper (optional). Enjoy, this as a delicious and simple way to get a fast protein filled meal.
