Supplies

To make the scratch cards you will need

  • A piece of paper
  • some crayons
  • (acrylic) paint
  • a bit of dish soap
  • paint brushes
  • a toothpick

Step 1: Chose Your Crayons and Colour the Paper

First pick the colours you want underneat the paint. Then draw on the paper, you can make a pattern, do it at random or even just use one colour.

Step 2: Paint the Card

The best paint to use is acrylic but you can test out other paints that you like. To make the lines (for the scratching) sharper you can add a little dish soap like in the picture. Cover the whole paper with a good layer of paint, for the gold in needed multiple layers to cover the crayons.

Step 3: Start Scratching!

Once the paint is completely dry, you can scratch whatever you want in on the paper and make the colours underneath come out.

Step 4: You're Finished!
