Introduction: Rice and Chicken
This recipe is a Haitian dish that is eaten in many special events. This dish is verry tasty and has flavor in every bite. The proper word to call this is diri djon djon ak sos poul.
Supplies
Chicken
Rice
Black Beans
Seasoning of your choice
Garlic (crushed)
Maggi
Maggi djon djon
Salt
vinegar
Lemon juice
Oil
Tomato Sauce
Step 1:
Wash your black beans then bring to a boil until soft
Step 2:
In a separate bowl mix hot water, salt, and vinegar to a pot to clean your chicken and leave the chicken for about 3 minutes
Step 3:
Take the chicken out of the pot then marinade the chicken in the seasoning of your choosing
Step 4:
When your chicken's done marinating, add it to a pot and bring it to a boil with all the marinade for about 10 miniutes. Constantly stir the pot and add salt water if there's not enough water.
Step 5:
Once the beans are done cooking, separate the beans and the water but save the water from the pot for later.
Step 6:
Put oil in a pot then put the crushed garlic in
Step 7:
Add your beans to fry and also add the Maggi djon djon for about 5 min while constantly stirring
Step 8:
Put the water that you saved before in and let it come to a boil
Step 9:
Add your rice then let it steam
Step 10:
Put the chicken in the air fryer or the oven to finish cooking while saving the marinade in the pot
Step 11:
Add tomato sauce and oil to a pot then put your marinade that you saved in and add water if needed
Step 12:
Put the chicken back in the pot then let it boil for 5 min
Step 13:
Plate your food then enjoy cause I know I did
