Introduction: Seriously Simple Halloween Chocolate Dipped Ghost Strawberries

About: Self-professed 'Halloweenie' and cosplay geek

I love Halloween.

Every year( except maybe during a pandemic), I subject my family to Halloween gatherings, costumes, and decorations to get us into the spirit of this most epic of celebrations!

I discovered an Instructable on making chocolate dipped berries which served as my inspiration for this recipe.
In case you find yourself in the need of a quick and easy last-minute treat or portable dessert guaranteed to please, these little spooky babies won't let you down.

Five easy steps are all you're going to need....honest.

Supplies

Ingredients

Strawberries....you'll want really nice ones : Save On Foods

White Chocolate Melting Wafers : Bulk, Save On Foods

Edible eyes : Save On Foods

Equipment

Tray...round one if you have it.

Parchment paper : Save On Foods

Small spoon

Small microwavable glass...a little bigger than the largest berry.

microwave oven

Step 1: Wash and Dry Your Berries.... Really Dry.

I gently blot with a paper towel or let them air dry.

Step 2: Microwave Your Wafers on High for 40 Seconds Until Most Are Melted, Then Stir Until Smooth.

You can add a few more seconds if needed to get a smooth melt.

Step 3: Grasp the Berries by Their Greens and Dip Them Into the Chocolate Gently Rotating to Cover Completely.

Step 4: Lower the Berries Onto the Parchment Tracing a Zig Zag Path to Create the Tail.

Don’t worry if this takes a couple of trial runs to look good. Fails will happen, I suggest you eat the evidence.

Step 5: Before the Chocolate Hardens Completely(about a Minute), Gently Place the Eyes Into the Chocolate.

Step 6: Bonus Step: Voila! Enjoy the Accolades!
