About: I am interested in reverse engineering a thing. Also interested in beekeeping, DIY, cycling, gardening, and farming.

Here, I am going to share some simple cleaning tips for keeping copper-based utensils and other kitchenware shiny.

Step 1: Cleaning Copper Utensils

When copper-based utensils were exposed to humid conditions it will turn into green-colored copper hydroxide . Here, we can see how to retrieve the shiny surface.

  • Tamarind fruit or pulp
  • Bowl
  • Water
  • Cloth
  • Hand gloves

Wear hand gloves.

In a bowl put the tamarind fruit and add some water. Stir well or dilute the tamarind pulp.

Apply this mixture over the copper utensil ( I cleaned a bottle here)

Leave it for 2-3 minutes.

Rub it with a small piece of cloth or steel wool.

Now, the utensil will shine

Step 2: Cleaning Oily Surfaces

frequently, The cooktops will become oily. To make them shiny again do the following

  • Lemon ( other citrus fruits also be used)
  • cloth

Cut the lemon into two pieces.

Using a lemon piece rub over the oily surfaces for one minute.

Leave it for one minute.

Using a piece of cloth, wipe the surfaces by applying pressure

Step 3: Cleaning Corroded Battery Terminals

The battery terminals will often corrode and blocks the current flow. If it is a car battery, starting problems will arise. So, Frequent maintenance must be done. The corrosion will be indicated by white, blue or yellowish powder on the terminals.

  • Sandpaper
  • Grease

Remove the cable from the terminals

Using sandpaper polish both the terminal and the cable

Connect the cable with the terminal
