Introduction: Silly Solution Mask
less ear pain and more funny looks. I thought this would be a helpful design, enjoy!
Step 1: Make the Band
First make a 100 x 100 x 20 mm cylinder, then make a 95 x
101 x 21mm hole cylinder. Put the hole cylinder into the regular one as the picture shows. Group it.
Step 2: Make Mounts
Put two boxes on it as shown; I used the copy and duplicate
button. The boxes are 44 x 3 x 20mm. Make sure to have the fronts are even. Group it. This is part 1. Measure around your head to the point in the photo.
Make a box that is 8 x 8 x 33mm.This will be a part in the sizing.
Step 4: Size Help
Make a hole box 6 x 6 x 34 and center it on the other box.
Raise the hole 3 mm from the workplane. Group it. Copy and duplicate it once, then drag them to the side.
These are part two.
Step 5: Mask Holder
Make a 6 x 6 x 40mm box. Rotate it as shown in the picture. Put it flat on the workplane
Step 6: Mask Hooks
Use scribble to make a hook like the one in the picture. I made it 5.98mm long, 4mm wide and 3mm tall. Copy and duplicate the hook once. Reflect one copy backwards and upside down. Put it on the left side of the box so that it touches the box and would be secure.
Step 7: Finish Holder
Repeat previous step until you have two hooks on each side as shown in the photo.
Step 8: Finish Part 3
Copy and duplicate once, then drag aside. These are part 3.
Step 9: Make Second Project
Take parts 2 and 3, then copy and paste them into a new
project and delete them from the original.
Step 10: Make Friction Hinge
In the new project you need to make an 8 x 8 x 2mm cylinder.
Step 11: Make Hinge Sides
Then make a 6 x 6 x 4mm cylinder and center it on the first. Group it.
Step 12: Finish Part 4
Copy and duplicate the two cylinders three times. These are part 4.
Step 13: Finish
Make a cylinder that is 8 x 8 x 4mm. Make a 6 x 6 x 5mm hole cylinder and center it on the first cylinder. Group it. Copy and duplicate the ring once. These are part 5
Save both projects as .stl files and print them. I will answer any questions in the comments section on how to assemble. Enjoy!
