Introduction: Simple Coffee Table

About: I am a biomedical engineering who works on computational neurobiology software. Kayaking Jeeping

Simple Coffee Table design built with inexpensive materials.
Materials required:
1x4" white-wood boards ~$3 each depending on width
Cabinet door ~$4.5 salvage from Ikea
  screws
  glue (optional)
Tools
  Miter box/saw
  Machinist Square
  Power drill screwdriver + bits

Step 1: Arms and Feet

These are the upper and lower horizontal pieces for the sides. Cut 4 boards with a 45* or 60* angle 1" from the edge.

Step 2: Assemble Frame

Sorry for the short description and lack of pictures of this step. The top and bottom horizontal pieces should attached to a single vertical support. Ensure that the support is centered and squared so that the table is level.

Reinforce the top piece with a scrap for the horizontal supports that run lengthwise.

Step 3: Optional Steps

I left the top removable for potential painting.
The bottom could be braced but if the top is square it is fairly sturdy.
