Introduction: Simple Edamame

About: Hello. My name is David and I love to cook vegan food! I know how much effort it takes to prep and make meals from scratch so I've made the decision to share my expertise with you. Whether you're a long term …

This is one of the easiest things to make in the world. In fact, its so easy to make, that you will scoff when you see the price that restaurants charge for an appetizer sized serving of it. All you'll need for this recipe is some frozen or fresh edamame, some water, and coarse salt.

Note: You can get creative with seasonings to spice up your edamame, but I find just simple pink salt to be my favorite in particular.

Step 1: Bring Your Water to a Boil.

Fill a medium or large pot with water and salt and bring to a boil. You only need enough water to submerge all of the edamame beans you have.

Step 2: Boil Your Edamame

Once the water is at a rolling boil, add in the edamame and cook for about 5-8 minutes.

Step 3: Drain and Season

Pour the water and edamame through a colander and briefly rinse with cold water to blanch the beans (they should still be warm to the touch). While still slightly wet, generously season with coarse sea salt or other flavoring and place into a serving dish.

Step 4: Serve and Enjoy!

Serve the beans with an extra dish to discard the bean pods into. Enjoy!
