Step 1: Draw Your Piano

I projected and traced my piano from Google Images, however feel free to freehand or use a ruler.

Step 2: Thread Your Needle

If you do not know how to thread a needle, use the images above.

Step 3: Basic Stitch Needed

You will only need a basic stitch for this project; however, feel free to try other stitches you are more comfortable with.

Step 4: Sewing Your Keys

Using the needle your threaded in earlier steps with conductive thread and the basic stitch, add lines to the bottom of your keys. These will be the conductive surfaces you will use to play your piano. You should have roughly 3-4 inches of thread at the end when you're done. This will be for adding the snaps in the next step.

Step 5: Adding Snaps

This is where the extra thread comes in. Use the remaining thread to attach your snaps on the underside of your shirt. Your alligator clips will be fastened to them.

Step 7: Attaching the MakeyMakey

Attach an alligator clip to each snap. I used the arrow keys and space bar in this program so the other end of my alligator clips connect to the corresponding parts of the MakeyMakey. Remember that the MakeyMakey acts like a keyboard you can just plug it into a USB port and you're good to go.
