Introduction: Slender Man's Handmade Sculpture

About: I am a student and I like to make and share things.

Hello friends, it's Halloween time and it is time for us to make some really spooky and creepy things. So, in this Instructable, I will show you how you can easily make a sculpture of Slender Man from moulding epoxy. It will be an art piece for your house and it will also scare all the children a lot. You can also watch the video at the top to get an idea!

Step 1: Gathering the Materials Required

So, the things you are gonna need are:

1. Few packs of moulding epoxy compound ( regardless of brand ).

2. A circular cardboard piece ( for the base of our Slender Man ).

3. A cutter or some pencils for carving out details ( I don't have professional tools :).

4. Some rounded popsicle sticks for making the frame.

5. A talcum powder ( regardless of brand ).

6. A PVA glue or ( fevicol ).

7. A black poster paint.

8. A white poster paint.

9. A color palette or plate.

10. A wire cutter for cutting out the sticks to make the frame.

11. A glue gun.

12. A picture of Slender Man ( you can get may from the web ).

After collecting all the things required, you can proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Making the Frame/Structure

In this step, you have to take the wire cutter and the rounded popsicle sticks and then cut each body part i.e. the legs, the hand , the torso, etc. I have taken the reference from my picture and accordingly cut out the parts of different lengths. You can do the same using your picture.

After cutting out the parts, you can glue them with each other using a glue just like i have done in the above picture. Then, proceed to the next step.

Step 3: Making of the "Slender-Man"

In this step, first I have mixed the Resin and the Hardener that came out of my packs of moulding epoxy compund. I have applied talcum powder to my palms and even on the surface so that the "Slender-Man" does not stick to the surface. I have also used talcum powder to even out the surfaces of my sculpture and to make them glossy as this information was on the back of my epoxy packs. It suggested to use water but as I had once made a scenery using this epoxy, my Art and Craft teacher told to use talcum powder rather than using water, so, following him, I used talcum powder to even out the sculpture.

Okay, then using the epoxy, I made our "Slender-Man's" head, torso, arms, legs, shoes and at last his hand. I also rolled out some epoxy ti make his coat. Then I pasted the coat on his torso using a PVA glue and using my cutter, carved out the surface and added details to his torso with reference from my picture. I had made his shoes and hands separately, which I then fixed to "him" using some more epoxy. Remember to keep evening out the surface and also switch off all the fans and ACs so that the epoxy doesn't dry up quickly, otherwise, you won't be able to carve out the details. Then, leave it until it is hard as stone.

Then , proceed to the last step.

Step 4: Painting Our Creepy Ghost

In this step, I used a black poster paint and started paint "him" according to the picture. I also painted the back of the sculpture. Then I painted his shoes and the took some white poster paint to color his head, hands and cuffs and also his tie. I also used some water but it is much better if we paint it without using water.

After painting, let it dry and then take your glue gun and stick this creepy ghost to its base, to ensure he doesn't fall and break apart or, in very rare cases, attack us.

After making this sculpture, I realized it was really looking like it will come to life and attack me. It really gibes me the creeps. So, make this sculpture to make you house the scariest among all house in the neighborhood.
