I have recently been inspired by Unicorns. I found this small table at the local Salvation Army store and I had the perfect idea to give it new life.

Step 1: Sand and Repaint

I sanded the table back to bare timber, then painted it with two coats of Annie Sloan Pure White Chalk Paint, sanding with 400 grit sand paper between each coats.

Step 2: More Paint

I painted over the white with a coat of Porter's Paints Flamingo Pink. As I sanded the Flamingo Pink smooth, some of the pure white came through. I sealed the legs with Annie Sloan clear wax.

Step 3: Stencils ;-)

I cut a Unicorn Stencil with my Silhouette Cameo and placed it on the top of the table. I filled the inside of the Stencil with Unicorn Spits, Lemon Kiss, Phoenix Fire, Molly Red Pepper, Dragons Belly, Zia Teal, Pixie Punk Pink, Navajo Jewel, Purple Hill Majesty, White Ning and Blue Thunder.

I lightly sprayed the Unicorn Spit with water before placing cling wrap over the Stencil and used my hand to move over the cling wrap, blending the Unicorn Spit Colours.

Step 4: More Stencils

I lifted the plastic and removed the stencil. I loved the Unicorn!. I cut a stencil with the word DREAM and another with BE FREE. I painted the words with Porter's Paints Alchemy Liquid Gold Paint.I also painted the border.

Step 5:

Happy with the Table top, I wanted to seal it with an Epoxy Resin. After protecting the floor and table legs, I sprinkled a heap of glitter onto the table top.

I mixed Barnes Epoxy Glass and when it was ready I poured it over the table top flooding the surface. I used a blow torch to remove small air bubbles within the working time of the epoxy. I left it for 24 Hours and could not have been happier with the result.
