We are going to make a gadget that can turn off lights with completely no sound, perfect for a spy or a secret agent. This tool is very easy to make and is very useful.

Step 1: Obtain the Materials

Your only going to need some foam, about 1 inch thick, a pencil, and a string fairly thin.

Step 2: Start Cutting!

Now take the foam and cut a piece about 4 inches by 1 inch. Cut two of them out and lay them side by side.

Step 3: Make the Holes

Take a pencil and poke holes in the sides of the foam pieces. Make sure the pencil comes out the other side.

Step 4: Thread the String Through

Now remove the pencil out of the foam. Tie a string of thread, about a foot long, around the end of the pencil. Don't sleepless knot it. Now, poke the pencil with string on the end through the foam again. When the pencil it all the way through, take the string off of the pencil and remove the pencil, keeping the string through the foam.
Repeat this on the other block of foam using the other end of the string. You will end up with a string going through two pieces of foam.

Step 5: Finishing Up

Now take the two ends of the string and tie them tightly around the foam. This time triple knot it. Your gadget is done! Test it on a light switch. Make one foam go over the switch and one go under. Squeeze both ways, and turn the switch off. Your done! Have fun with your new spy gadget!
