Introduction: Store Shelving

I made a bunch of reclaimed and rough cut lumber shelves for a liqueur store.

Supplies

  1. Lumber
  2. P
  3. Chop saw
  4. table saw / Dado blade
  5. screws / drill
  6. glue
  7. Kreg pocket hole jig
  8. poly

Step 1: Plane and Cut

I planed the wood to 3/4" then cut to size using the table saw and chop saw.

Step 2: Sanding and Sealing

Once it has all been cut to size I sanded using 120 grit and then 220 grit sand paper. Some pieces were sealed with Minwax Polyurethane.

Step 3: Putting Them Together

The side and supports were run through the Dado blade so the shelves would support the heavy weight of liquid filled bottles. These are glues and screwed together and hidden with matching wood plugs and cut off with a Japanese pull saw. These all got 3 coats of Minwax Polyurethane. lightly sand the second coat with 220 grit sand paper just to take bubbles and raised grain off, wipe clean and then apply 3rd coat.

Step 4: Finished Shelves

All the shelving is installed. It came out very nice, sturdy and functional.
