Introduction: Sweet Potato Pumpkin Dog Ice Cream
If your dog drools when it sees pumpkin or sweet potato like mine does, this will be the perfect cool treat for your dog(s) . My dog has always wanted to share any kind of cold treat I am enjoying but, they are not safe for her to consume because of the added sugars. Similar to the fact that pumpkin pie filling is not safe for dogs, so make sure to get puree and not pumpkin pie filling. This made me think I should combine three things that my dog drools over sweet potato, pumpkin, and ice cream.

Step 1: Gather All Ingredients and Tools
Gather all ingredients and tools listed on the tools and ingredients list.
Step 2: Cook the Sweet Potato
We are going to start by cooking the sweet potato you can cook it in the microwave, oven, or on the grill. If you cook it on the grill or in the oven you will need to cook it at about 300 degrees for about 45 minutes or until soft. If cooking in the microwave I recommend cooking it for five minutes up until the potato is cooked.
Step 3: Mix All Ingredients
Now you want to mix together your canned pumpkin, cooked sweet potato, plain Greek yogurt, milk, and honey (optional)
Step 4: Put Into Freezer Molds
Once all the ingredients are mixed together well you want to start spooning the mix into freezer molds. Once all the freezer molds are filled place them in the freezer for 3-4 hours.
Step 5: Time to Cool Your Dog
Once the treats are set and frozen you can pop them right out of the mold, and feed this sweet cool treat to your dog.
