Introduction: Tasty Meat Balls

This meatball recipe was created by me

Step 1: Healthy Meatballs

This is a recipe that I made After experimenting with the ingredients I found the perfect combination for meatballs. I made these for a taster once and a lot of people enjoyed them! They are my favourite home-made meatballs. They have a mouth-watering flavour and a pleasant texture and are not difficult to make. I made these meatballs a little different to normal meatballs. I made them slightly healthier than normal meatballs. Sometimes I fry them, but usually I bake them in the oven. They are egg free and do not need bread!

Ingredients:

500g 5% fat beef mince

1 medium red onion, finely grated

1 medium carrot, finely grated

2 teaspoons of onion salt

1 table spoon of parsley (if fresh chop in to tiny pieces)

1 beef stock cube

a pinch of mustard powder

20ml tomato juice

1 teaspoon of basil (if fresh chop into tiny pieces)

Method

Preheat the oven to gas mark7/425F.

Put the beef mince into a large enough bowl. Dissolve the stock cube in 50ml hot water.

whilst the stock cube is dissolving, add the grated red onion and carrot. Thoroughly mix the grated onion and carrot with a wooden spoon. stir the stock until dissolved and pour into the beef mince. Add the rest of the ingredients and make sure all of the ingredients are mixed well.

roll the meat into meatballs about the size of a ping-pong ball between the palms of your hands. leave a small gap between each meatball and bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
