Introduction: Temple: Placing the Columns

Now it's time to place the columns.

Instructions

  1. Find the columns and select them.
  2. Continue to the next step.

Step 1: Move the Columns

Continue positioning the columns.

Instructions

  1. Move the columns so that they cover the gaps between the walls/arcs.
  2. Continue to the next step.

Step 2: Copy Pointed Dome

Time to add the pointed domes.

Instructions

  1. Find the pointed dome and position the camera to see the bottom.
  2. Press W to choose the Workplane Tool and select the bottom surface.
  3. With the pointed dome selected, press CTRL+C to create a copy in the clipboard.
  4. Continue to the next step.

Step 3: Paste Copy of Pointed Dome

Make more copies of the pointed dome.

Instructions

  1. Press W to choose the Workplane Tool and select the top surface of the column.
  2. Press CTRL+V to paste a copy of the pointed dome on top of the column.
  3. If the dome is pointing down, rotate it so that it is pointing up.
  4. Continue to the next step.

Step 4: Continue Adding the Domes

Keep up the good work, continue adding the domes.

Instructions

  1. Make a duplicate of the pointed dome and move it to the opposite column.
  2. Continue to the next step.

Step 5: Copy the Column Base

Now we need to add the column base to each column.

Instructions

  1. Copy the base of the columns to cover the next two corners of the wall/arch.
  2. Continue to the next step.

Step 6: Copy the Small Dome

Repeat the process to the small dome.

Instructions

  1. Press W to choose the Workplane Tool and position the camera to see the bottom of the small dome.
  2. Select the bottom surface of the dome.
  3. With the dome selected, press CTRL+C to copy small dome.
  4. Continue to the next step.

Step 7: Paste the Small Dome

Instructions

  1. Position the camera to view the uncapped column.
  2. Press W to choose the Workplane Tool and select the top surface of the column.
  3. Continue to the next step.

Step 8: Paste Copy of Small Dome

Instructions

  1. Press CTRL+V to paste a copy of the pointed dome on top of the column.
  2. If the dome is pointing down, rotate it so that it is pointing up.
  3. Continue to the next step.

Step 9: Duplicate Small Dome to Other Side

Instructions

  1. With the small dome selected, make a duplicate of it.
  2. Move the duplicate of the small dome on top of the opposite column.
  3. Continue to the next lesson.
