Introduction: Texas Chocolate Chip Cookies
Why make regular cookies or buy regular cookies when you can make Texas cookies? These cookies come from a recipe that my family has perfected over many, many years. When i was younger, I decided to make a recipie for cookies, and I decided to test which recipie had the best taste. These cookies are Texas cookies for a reason. They are made with pecans, a Texas speciality.
Step 1: The Dry Mix
First what we are going to make is the "dry mix"
Your ingredients are:
1 cup of Bread Flour
1/2 teaspoon of Salt
1/2 teaspoon of Baking Soda
1/2 cup of Oats
1/2 cup of Pecans
1 cup of Chocolate Chips
Step 2:
Chop up the pecans and mix all the dry mix ingredients together except for the chocolate chips.
Step 3: The Wet Mix
Now to make the "wet mix"
Your ingredients:
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 stick Margarine
3/8 cup of Brown sugar
3/8 cup of Sugar
Step 4:
Put all the ingredients except for the egg into the mixer. When the ingredients are in mix them up until they are completely joined together to make a tannish color.
Now add the egg. Mix them together and when you have you will have a very wet looking cookie dough.
Step 5: The Mixing
Now we add the Dry mix and the Wet mix
Take your dry mix that you have in a bowl and just pour it into the mixer.
Step 6: The Chocholate
Time to add the Chocholate Chips
Step 7: Baking
After that we put them in the oven
Set the oven temperature to 350 on Convection for about 12-14 minutes
Step 8: You're Done!
Now you can enjoy your delicous Texas style cookies. Dont forget to tell your friends!

5 out of 5: great flavor, not greasy, they are fluffy, clean tasting, and well-balanced. Do you have a recipe for double chocolate chip cookies??

All I can say is try them. Mine came out excellent. I took the 1/2 cup of oats and ground them up instead of adding them whole.
